The coronavirus pandemic continues to hit families hard. We need to take bold steps to protect families and ensure that every Oregonian has the support they need. During these difficult times, Kurt has advocated on the behalf of Oregon families for economic relief and robust public health programs. He supported the bipartisan recovery bills that allocated trillions in much-needed relief funds to individuals and small businesses.
However, Kurt also recognizes that the burden of the pandemic has not been shouldered equally by all Americans. He called on Congressional leadership to address the disproportionate barriers and outcomes that Latinx and immigrant communities face when trying to access healthcare services and economic relief during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, both in Oregon and across the country.
